A creative all-rounder at bunches.co.uk, bringing creativity and style to their floral e-commerce and customer journey experience. Over six years, I grew from graphic designer to senior creative. When I left to launch Rubie Jo Creative, Bunches trusted me enough to continue working together, transitioning me from employee to their go-to creative partner on retainer.

My versatile creative skills positively influenced the perception of the Bunches brand across multiple channels from marketing visuals and printed materials to digital platforms, creative direction, photography and more.

Packaging design and unboxing experience that builds brand loyalty

Bunches needed their delivery boxes to do more than protect flowers, they needed to tell their story and help recipients care for their gift. I led the creative direction and graphic design for two in-box booklets: an 8-page 'Our Story' brand booklet and a 12-page 'Care Guide' with product care instructions. Taking charge of photography, prop sourcing and set design, while managing the team's input, I designed booklets that showed Bunches' commitment to quality while turning first-time recipients into repeat customers.

Seasonal calendar design and photography that keeps the brand top of mind all year round

Bunches wanted to deepen relationships with their most loyal customers through a premium gift that would keep their brand top-of-mind all year. For three consecutive years, I created seasonal calendars that did exactly that. Working with their head florist to select the perfect flowers for each month, then planning and directing photoshoots that showcased the blooms at their best.

From set design and photography to prop sourcing and retouching, every detail was executed on time and within budget. These calendars became a valued annual tradition, strengthening customer loyalty while keeping Bunches visible in homes throughout the year.

Greeting card design that increases average order value

Bunches needed a way to help customers complete their gift in one transaction, making it easy for gift-givers while boosting revenue per order. I designed a diverse collection of cards for their online card shop, featuring styles for every taste: sleek contemporary designs, bold typography and whimsical hand-drawn creations. By offering the perfect finishing touch right at checkout, customers could personalise their gift without leaving the site, increasing convenience and average order value.

Packaging that leaves an impression

Bunches needed a packaging update that looked good, protected the product, and could be produced sustainably at scale. I designed a range of gift boxes with hand-drawn botanical illustrations, working closely with printers to understand dielines, materials, and print methods that would work for their 100% plastic-free commitment. The boxes needed to survive the delivery journey while still making customers smile when they arrived balancing brand appeal with practical function.

As Bunches evolved, their printed materials needed to keep pace. Outdated brochures were making the brand look stuck in the past, so I redesigned their seasonal product brochures with a fresh, customer-friendly approach that made browsing products enjoyable. Working closely with the marketing team and staying flexible to feedback, I created a timeless design system that's still in use today proving that good design doesn't need constant overhauls. From seasonal brochures to in-box offers and promotional materials, the new print direction reflected where the business was heading, not where it had been.

UX and website design that increased card sales

Bunches was losing sales because customers couldn't find the right greeting card fast enough. Working within their existing design system and collaborating with the development team, I redesigned the cards landing page with an intuitive filtering and search system that made browsing effortless. The new design transformed how customers shopped from digging through endless options to finding the perfect card in seconds. By streamlining the user journey and removing friction at a key purchase point, the page made it easier for customers to complete their orders, directly impacting sales.

Email marketing that converts new and repeat purchases

Consistent email campaigns keep customers engaged between orders and drive repeat business. I designed daily newsletters and weekly campaigns for Bunches that stayed true to the brand while introducing fresh creative ideas to boost sales and recognition. The steady stream of visually engaging emails reminded customers to order again for upcoming occasions, turning one-time buyers into repeat customers and generating ongoing revenue with opportunities to share more about the brand story and charity work.

Product photography and creative direction that strengthens the bunches identity

A recognisable photography style creates consistency across every touchpoint and makes content creation effortless and brings in more revenue. I developed Bunches' signature product photography approach through planned shoots, prop sourcing and creative experimentation capturing aspirational imagery that connected emotionally with customers.

This photography style became a cornerstone of their brand identity, featured across the website, brochures, advertisements, social media and more. Beyond creating beautiful images, the consistent visual language built recognition and provided an extensive content library that the team could draw from for years.
